How accepting cards and digital payments works
We received the notification that we’d been paid and then immediately got an email saying our business is considered a risk. We now have $1100 that they are holding with no explanation as to why. We were given two options, one being that they hold the payment for 120 days (which is apparently standard) or have the payment sent back to the sender. The first representative said 3-5 business days and then the second rep said 10 days. We’ve asked several times for formal documentation with no response. If you’re a small business like we are and depend on all payments, do not use this app.

Sendwave does not charge any fees for money transfers to Haiti to a Unitransfer or MonCash. If you send USD from Canada or Europe, you not pay any fees. It also features a well-laid-out, clutter-free dashboard with individual tabs for sales, purchases, accounting, banking, payroll and reports. It’s like you’re getting an incoming call when it’s “reconnecting”. I’ve even been on another call and I’ll get a call waiting beep and yep, it’s the Wave app “reconnecting”. I’ve closed the app, put on Do Not Disturb and yet it keeps doing it. It kept me awake through the night before I had a 12-hour work day.
Look professional with customizable invoices
The funds need to be picked up within 7 days of the transfer being sent. After 7 days the transaction will be cancelled and your debit card will not be charged. The unique code voucher will be sent to your recipient quickly after initiating the transfer. They will then need to visit an Access or Zenith bank branch Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm WAT to collect the funds.
App Privacy
Currently we are not sending from the UK, but we hope to be soon. Download the Sendwave app to stay informed when this happens. You can invite your accountants, bookkeepers or other business partners to Wave via email and designate their user roles. They can receive “editor permissions” and access accounting and reports as well as purchases easily. Where Wave falls behind, however, is its customer support. There’s no live support unless you pay for it so you’ll have to dig for the answers to your questions in the help center or cross your fingers that the automated chatbot will help you out.
Online payments = on-time payments
Email invoices with a secure “Pay Now” button after you’ve enabled the online payments option. Simply email your customers an invoice and they can use the secure “Pay Now” button to send over your payment. Wave Money is currently available to single-owner businesses in the United States with a Wave account. Once you create an account, we’ll notify all new eligible businesses by email.
